Victoria Hospital, home to a state-of-the-art burns care unit, has readied its resources to manage firecracker incidents effectively. This facility includes a dedicated burns treatment area and specialized patient blocks, equipped with essential supplies such as ventilators, dressing materials, antibiotics, and intravenous fluids. The hospital's medical teams remain on high alert, prepared for emergency surgeries and intensive care as required. Minor burns will be treated on an outpatient basis, while severe cases may require intervention from the hospital’s plastic surgery unit.

Meanwhile, Minto Ophthalmic Hospital has established a new 35-bed ward specifically for eye injuries. This ward, organized to accommodate men, women, and children, is equipped with specialists and an operating room on standby for critical cases.
In addition to these preparations, authorities have issued safety guidelines to minimize risks during festivities. Advisories stress adult supervision for children, avoiding hand-held fireworks, and properly discarding used crackers in water or sand.
