Bengaluru: Hubby claims wife not allowing to consummate marriage, cites beauty as reason

A bizarre marital dispute has surfaced in Bangalore, where a husband has accused his wife of refusing physical intimacy, making unusual demands, and blackmailing him with threats of suicide.

Srikanth, who got married two years ago, approached the Vaiyalikavala police station, alleging mental harassment by his wife. According to his complaint, his wife has repeatedly refused to allow physical closeness, claiming it would "ruin her beauty." Despite being married for two years, she allegedly insisted that marriage was acceptable but starting a family was not.

Her conditions for having children were also unconventional. She reportedly told Srikanth that they should either adopt or wait until they turned 60 to have children. Additionally, she allegedly demanded ₹45 lakh for a divorce and threatened to end her life if he forced her into physical intimacy.

Srikanth also claimed that he had spent lakhs on their wedding and bought her expensive gifts, yet she refused to wear traditional jewelry like bracelets or anklets. Frustrated by his wife's behavior and repeated threats, he decided to seek legal intervention.

The police have registered a Non-Cognizable Report (NCR) regarding the matter. Further investigations are underway to determine the nature of the dispute and possible legal action.
