A First Information Report (FIR) has been filed against Kannada actor Darshan Thoogudeepa subsequent to an incident where his pet dogs reportedly attacked and injured a 48-year-old woman who had parked her car in close proximity to his residence in Bengaluru.
The incident occurred on October 28, when the woman had parked her car in an unoccupied space near the actor’s house in RR Nagar before attending an event.
According to her statement, upon her return, she found a person accompanied by three dogs near her vehicle. Upon requesting the individual to remove the dogs so she could access her car, he purportedly declined and engaged in a confrontation with her regarding the parking issue. This escalated into a verbal altercation between the woman and the individual in charge of the dogs, ultimately resulting in the dogs attacking her.
The police have disclosed that the dogs, owned by actor Darshan, allegedly bit the woman and caused damage to her clothing. The woman has lodged a complaint, leading to the booking of both the actor and the dogs’ handler under Section 289 (Negligent conduct with respect to animals) of the Indian Penal Code.
