Bengaluru: Kichcha Sudeep's mother, Saroja Sanjeev, passes away

Actor and television host Kichcha Sudeep is mourning the loss of his mother, Saroja Sanjeev, who passed away early Sunday morning, October 20, at a private hospital in Bengaluru. She was 76.

Saroja Sanjeev breathed her last at around 7 AM at Apollo Hospital, Jayanagar, after battling age-related health complications. Despite receiving treatment, her condition worsened, and she could not recover.

The actor, known for his heartfelt tributes to his mother at public events, had recently spoken fondly of her during an episode of Bigg Boss Kannada. Sudeep had often shared how much she meant to him, highlighting her role in shaping his life and career.

Saroja, originally from Mangaluru, spoke Tulu as her mother tongue. During the promotion of his film Vikrant Rona, Sudeep had mentioned his connection to the language, expressing his deep fondness for his roots.

Saroja’s mortal remains will be brought to Sudeep’s residence in JP Nagar at noon, where arrangements have been made for the public to offer their last respects.

The actor’s family is currently in mourning, and condolences from fans and colleagues in the film industry have begun pouring in for the beloved star and his family during this difficult time.
