Bengaluru leads the country in cybersecurity job openings, accounting for nearly 10% of the total listings. The city’s dominance is attributed to its status as India’s leading tech hub, home to major IT firms, startups, and global enterprises. As companies prioritize securing their digital assets, the demand for cybersecurity experts in Bengaluru continues to rise.
Following Bengaluru, Delhi-NCR holds the second position with 4% of job listings. The region's prominence stems from its role as a key corporate and government hub, hosting numerous multinational companies and financial institutions. Remote jobs, which account for 2.2% of the postings, along with Hyderabad and Mumbai, each at 2%, are also contributing to the growing demand for cybersecurity professionals.
Sashi Kumar, Head of Sales at Indeed India, noted that as daily life becomes increasingly digital, companies are focusing on data security, driving job growth in this fast-evolving field.
The report is based on data from job postings and job clicks on the Indeed platform between September 2023 and September 2024.
