In a recent survey conducted by TeamLease EdTech, encouraging signs have emerged for fresh graduates on the job hunt, particularly in key metropolitan areas such as Bengaluru, Mumbai, and Chennai.

These cities are poised to increase their hiring of fresh graduates during the first half of the year, with Bengaluru leading the charge with an impressive 69 per cent hiring intent. This uptick indicates a positive trend in fresh graduate recruitment across these urban centers.

The survey also reveals the industries propelling this surge in hiring. E-commerce & Technology Start-ups, Engineering & Infrastructure, and Telecommunications are identified as the top three sectors with the highest hiring intent for freshers, registering at 55 per cent, 53 per cent, and 50 per cent, respectively.

Roles like Graphic Designer, Legal Associate, Chemical Engineer, and Digital Marketing Executive are highly sought after across these industries, presenting a myriad of opportunities for recent graduates to jumpstart their careers.

Additionally, the report highlights the demand for degree apprenticeships, particularly in the Manufacturing, Engineering & Infrastructure, and Construction & Real Estate industries. Notably, Bengaluru, Chennai, and Mumbai emerge as the top cities intending to hire degree apprentices, underlining their significance in fostering skill development and employment for young professionals.
