An untoward incident unfolded during the Republic Day celebrations in the Manekshaw Parade Ground in Bengaluru. An individual barged into the stage and unveiled a pamphlet in front of CM Siddaramaiah and Governor Thawar Chand Gehlot . The accused has been identified as Parashuram. He has been apprehended by the police and taken to the Cubbon Park station. Police sources have revealed that Parashuram has caused a disturbance in many events in the past as well. Parashuram's eyes were filled with tears as he unveiled the poster. This is a major security lapse. How he obtained the pass remains a question. Several stages of security were breached by Parashuram. 

Meanwhile, some pertinent issues were highlighted during the governor’s address during the inauguration. Karnataka Governor Thawar Chand Gehlot stated that Rs 200 crore has been allocated for dealing with the traffic conundrum in Bengaluru during an inaugural speech to celebrate Republic Day. Tenders for white topping on prominent roads have been issued. Brand Bengaluru was a topic of discussion during the Republic Day inauguration by Governor Thawar Chand Gehlot. 8 prominent aspects of it were highlighted. The Karnataka Government has received more than 70,000 suggestions with regard to Brand Bengaluru. A committee would examine these recommendations.
