The incident occurred at around 1:50 PM when Singh was en route to the capital. The biker, identified as Ahmed Dilwar Hussain, was riding with a friend when he ignored police barricades and attempted to speed past the convoy. Head Constable Dinesh, who was on duty at the location, tried to stop him but was instead run over, suffering injuries. Fortunately, by the time of the incident, the Defence Minister’s convoy had already moved ahead.

Following the attack, Dinesh filed a complaint at Cubbon Park police station, leading to Hussain’s immediate arrest. The accused, a native of Hassan, resides in Shivajinagar and works as a housekeeper in a shop near Cubbon Park. He was reportedly dropping off his friend when he attempted to bypass the security measures.

DCP Shekhar of the Central Division confirmed the arrest, stating that a case had been registered for obstructing police duty. The accused is currently in judicial custody. The incident has raised concerns over security breaches, especially during high-profile visits.
