A man in Bengaluru has been arrested after a video of him calmly drinking tea while sitting on a chair in the middle of a busy road went viral on social media. The incident occurred on April 12 on a major city road, though the exact location has not yet been confirmed. Following the video’s rapid circulation online, the Bengaluru City Police launched an investigation and soon identified and arrested the individual. The arrest was made by officers from the SJ Park police station, and a case has been registered against him. The police also issued a stern warning via social media, stating: “Taking tea time to the traffic line will brew you a hefty fine, not fame!” They shared a video of the stunt and the arrest to discourage similar acts.

The video sparked strong reactions on X. Many users criticized the dangerous stunt, questioning the risks to both the man and others. Some even called for harsher punishment. Others praised the police for taking swift action and hoped it would deter future reckless behavior.
