When Pushpalatha returned home that evening, she discovered her dog with severe injuries on its face and mouth. Despite efforts to treat the wounds, the dog passed away on January 3. Suspicious of foul play, Pushpalatha checked the CCTV footage installed outside her home, which showed the accused, Manoj, mercilessly attacking the dog with a stick.
Upon confronting Manoj, Pushpalatha was met with abusive language, and he even attempted to assault her, as per police reports. During questioning, Manoj admitted to the attack, claiming he was angered after the dog ate his chicken.
A case of animal cruelty has been filed against Manoj, and investigations are ongoing. The brutal act has caused widespread outrage, with the community calling for justice for the innocent animal and condemning the cruelty shown by the accused.
