In a gruesome murder that has rocked Bengaluru, KV Srinath who ran a chit fund business has been mercilessly murdered by an accused Madhav Rao. After committing the murder, Madhav Rao split his body into pieces and threw them into a gutter, with an obvious intent to destroy evidence.

Case details:

Madhav Rao had invested Rs 5 lakh in KV Srinath’s venture. In relation to this, the two used to have frequent quarrels as Madhav Rao sought from the deceased the returning of the money. On May 28, Srinath went to Madhava Rao’s residence and picked up a fight with him over the money. As the arguments intensified, Madhav Rao poleaxed Srinath and he fell unconscious. Ascertaining his death, he cut his body and packed them in different covers and threw them in different drains. Later, he scooted to Andhra Pradesh and switched his phone off. It is also alleged that Srinath had an illicit affair with Madhav Rao’s wife.

As we file this report, the police are in a frantic search for the strewn body pieces. The Bengaluru police went all the way to Andhra Pradesh to get the custody of the accused and have pressed murder charges (IPC 302) against him.
