Bengaluru: Man bludgeons parents to death, locks the house and escapes

A 27 year old man, Sharat would have frequent quarrels with his parents, Bhaskar (61) who worked as a cashier at a mess located in Khanija Bhavan, and Shantha (60) a retired government employee. They shared a house wherein Sharath was lodged upstairs to where they stayed. So on Monday night, when they cried for help as they were inflicted with injuries through a blunt object, the neighbours did not observe an anomaly. Sharath then locked the house from the outside and has since been absconding. Their elder son, Sajith (31) ,who works in a private company in Tindlu, called them early in the morning and suspected something was foul when they did not respond. He alerted the neighbours, who broke open the door to find the couple lying in a pool of blood. They are said to have sustained severe head injuries. The incident occurred in Kodegehalli, between 8:30 P.M to 9:00 P.M on Monday. Sajith filed a police complaint. A probe has been launched. The police have formed squads to nab the missing Sharath. 

The family originally hail from the Ullal city in the Dakshina Kannada district. They moved to Bangalore 11 years ago.
