Raghav Dua, a Bengaluru based product designer shared an intriguing incident on X (formerly known as Twitter). He had booked an Uber bike moto ride to get around the city. To his utter surprise, he realised that his Uber driver was also a fellow techie who had worked with Google in the past. 

Does this say something about the growth prospects in Google? That would be a far gone conclusion. The driver was apparently just looking for an avenue to explore the city. The driver had recently moved to Bengaluru from Hyderabad. “My Uber Moto driver is ex-google, moved to Bangalore 20 days ago from Hyderabad. He is just doing this to explore the city it seems,” Raghav Dua stated on X. The tweet had received more than 63,400 impressions, 455 likes and 20 retweets within 3 days of being posted. 

The internet had mixed reactions to this revelation. Some questioned the authenticity of his claim. “designation might not be software Engineer at google (sic)” a user remarked. Others however did see that this is a plausible event. “True, I met a 53 year old ex bank manager from Vishakhapatnam who is now living in Delhi to meet people by riding Rapido, he wants to explore all the places in the city & make documentary on it, tough guy (sic),” another user mentioned.
