A Bengaluru-based man, Nikith Shetty, was terminated from his job at Etios Digital Services after making an acid attack threat against a woman on social media. The incident occurred after Shetty objected to the woman’s choice of clothing in an Instagram post, sending her a threatening message.

The woman's husband filed a formal complaint with authorities and posted a screenshot of the message on Twitter, tagging Karnataka's Director General of Police and government officials, calling for immediate action.

In response, Etios Digital Services issued a public statement condemning Shetty’s behavior, labeling it "absolutely unacceptable" and stating that it goes against the company’s values. The company confirmed Shetty's dismissal and revealed that they had also filed a case against him.
"We are deeply saddened by this incident. Nikith Shetty has been terminated for five years, and we are taking all necessary legal actions to ensure accountability," the company's statement read.
Etios Digital Services further emphasized its commitment to maintaining a safe and respectful workplace environment, standing firmly against any form of harassment or violence. The company pledged to take further steps to foster a more inclusive and respectful community in light of the incident.
Local authorities are currently investigating the matter to ensure justice is served.
