A 42-year-old man, Pradeep C, was found dead in a tragic incident in Bengaluru on Saturday, when his charred body was discovered inside his Skoda car. The vehicle was engulfed in flames on a deserted road at Muddinapalya in the Byadarahalli area around 4 p.m., following an apparent suicide.

Pradeep, a hotel consultant residing in Nagarbhavi, was reported to be facing business difficulties, which police believe may have led him to take his own life. The distressing scene came to light when locals noticed the burning car and notified authorities. Shrinivas Murthy E, a police officer on patrol duty, responded to a call from the police helpline and rushed to the site. Upon arrival, he saw the Skoda completely ablaze and immediately contacted the fire department.

A fire tender was dispatched, and after the flames were extinguished, Pradeep’s charred remains were discovered in the driver’s seat. Preliminary investigations revealed that he had purchased four liters of petrol in two two-liter cans shortly before the incident, suggesting a premeditated act.

Police are conducting further inquiries to ascertain the full context surrounding Pradeep’s death, shedding light on the potential impact of financial pressures on mental health.
