The victim, 40-year-old M Manjula, was a homemaker and mother of two. According to police, she had been undergoing treatment for a mental illness for 18 years, while her husband, Manjunath, had also been treated for depression at NIMHANS last year. Witnesses reported seeing Manjunath take Manjula to the second floor before allegedly pushing her off. She suffered critical head injuries after landing on iron rods and construction debris. Despite being rushed to a hospital, she succumbed to her injuries.
