Online gambling addiction has made a man stage a fake kidnapping of himself. The individual who carried this along with his friends has been arrested. He applied tomato sauce on himself and sent a photo of that to his aunt. The accused has been identified as Jeevan studying in Oxford College. His aunt Sunanda also worked in the same college. Sunanda complained to the Bommanahalli police after receiving the image. During the investigation, it was revealed that Jeevan staged his kidnapping for money. Jeevan had lost money on an online gambling app named Gold 369. He staged the kidnapping to acquire more money for online gambling. The Bommanahalli Police officials have arrested Jeevan along with his friends Vinay, Poornesh, Preetham and Raju. Jeevan had Rs 20,000 transferred to his account due to the kidnapping. Jeevan was indulged in online gambling in a house in Bingipura in Anekal while the police arrived to apprehend him.
