The police have arrested a notorious rowdy-sheeter, identified as Rahul (26), for allegedly setting fire to his former girlfriend’s vehicles after she ended their long-term relationship. The shocking incident, which took place on Saturday night, was captured on CCTV, sparking fear among residents.

According to police, Rahul, a history-sheeter under Hanumanthanagar police station, had been in a relationship with the 24-year-old woman since their school days. However, after she decided to end things, Rahul repeatedly tried to reconcile, but she refused. Enraged, he and an accomplice went to her parents' home in CK Achukattu, where he allegedly assaulted her father and set her bike on fire.
Later that night, he tracked her down to an apartment in Subramanyapura, where she had been staying. Rahul allegedly fought with the security guard before setting fire to her car in the basement parking. The blaze spread, damaging another parked vehicle.
The entire act was caught on CCTV, aiding the police in their investigation. Based on the victim’s complaint, two cases were registered against Rahul. A senior officer confirmed that Rahul was familiar with the victim’s whereabouts as he had visited her family in the past.
Following a large-scale manhunt, police successfully arrested Rahul. Further investigations are underway to identify others involved in the incident.
