Once completed, the expressway is expected to reduce travel time by 7-8 hours, addressing long-standing traffic congestion issues. Currently, travel between Bengaluru and Mangaluru is often delayed, particularly during the monsoon season, when landslides and other disruptions affect the existing highway.

The project is set to commence in 2028, marking a major infrastructure upgrade for Karnataka. The expressway is expected to boost economic activity, enhance trade routes, and improve road safety.

The new expressway will provide a faster, more efficient alternative for commuters and businesses, benefiting industries that rely on seamless transportation between Bengaluru, Hassan, and Mangaluru. Once operational, it is expected to revolutionize connectivity in the region, making travel safer and more convenient for thousands of daily commuters.
