Bengaluru: Married woman’s body found hanging; husband's role suspected

A shocking incident wherein a woman’s body was found hanging has come to the forefront from the Peenya region of Bengaluru. The deceased has been identified as Chaitra. Chaitra recently got married. 

The family members of Chaitra have expressed their suspicions about this death. They have accused Chaitra's husband Santosh of having committed her murder and then later having hanged her body. 

Chaitra hails from the Ramanagara district of Karnataka. She married Santosh 5 years ago. Santosh was a cab driver. They had both fallen in love with each other. They even bore an offspring. Chaitra’s family members have stated that Santosh harassed Chaitra for dowry. He is reported to have demanded Rs 5 lakh recently. He is said to have inflicted physical as well as mental harm on Chaitra. 

The family members of Chatra have registered a complaint against Santosh in the Peenya Police Station. Santosh and his family members have been apprehended by the police for the purposes of conducting an enquiry.
