DK Shivakumar unveils plan to erect skydeck in Bengaluru
Skydeck envisioned to be tallest viewing tower in country
Skydeck is poised to redefine the skyline of Bengaluru
Following the recent focus on improving infrastructure in Karnataka, Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar has unveiled an ambitious plan to erect a towering skydeck in Bengaluru, reaching a height of 250 meters.
This landmark structure, envisioned to be the tallest viewing tower in the country, is proposed to be designed by an architectural firm Coop Himmelb(l)au.
The proposed design demonstrates a strong commitment to sustainability and integrates solar panels to harness renewable energy.
In a recent meeting, Deputy Chief Minister Shivakumar, who also serves as the Bengaluru Development Minister, emphasized the significance of assessing the project’s financial feasibility and pinpointed the need for 8-10 acres of prime land within the heart of Bengaluru for the implementation of this innovative structure.
Envisioned as a multifaceted destination, the skydeck will not only offer breathtaking panoramic views but also cater to a diverse range of recreational and entertainment needs.
Anticipated amenities include a vibrant shopping arcade, an assortment of restaurants, a state-of-the-art theater, and a serene sky garden at the base.
Meanwhile, the upper levels are set to accommodate a variety of attractions, including a roller-coaster station, an expansive exhibition hall, a sophisticated sky lobby, and an exclusive VIP area, all complemented by an upscale restaurant and bar.
With such a comprehensive layout, the skydeck is poised to redefine the skyline of Bengaluru while catering to the diverse interests of visitors from far and wide.
