Bengaluru is set to celebrate its rich cultural heritage with a creative initiative that blends art, history, and public spaces. Under the 'Wall Bangalore' campaign, a collaborative effort by Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation Limited (BMRCL) and Unboxing Bangalore Foundation, eight metro stations and two prominent city walls will become canvases for the city’s stories.

Renowned artists will create murals depicting Bengaluru’s history and the diverse heritage of its communities. These masterpieces will grace the walls of metro stations such as Visveshwaraiah Central College, Jayanagar, RV Road, JP Nagar, Yeshwantpur, Halasur, and Srirampur. Beyond the metro, additional murals will be displayed on private walls along Church Street and near the Science Gallery, extending the initiative to new corners of the city.
The campaign also aims to transform these metro stations into beautiful backdrops and make creative use of public spaces, offering passengers a chance to spotlight the city in unique ways.
Unboxing Bangalore Foundation has already worked with the Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) on similar artistic projects for private walls. Now, the initiative expands to the metro system, uniting art and public transport to honour Bengaluru’s legacy.
As the murals take shape, Bengalureans can look forward to a vibrant tribute to the city's history and its dynamic communities, all brought to life through the strokes of 10 talented painters.
