Bengaluru's Namma Metro Yellow Line is embracing Karnataka's rich heritage with a colorful makeover inspired by Channapatna wooden toys. Known for their vibrant hues and eco-friendly craftsmanship, these iconic toys from the "Toy Town" of Karnataka add a touch of tradition to the metro's 19.5-kilometer route, which connects RV Road to Bommasandra.

Channapatna's toy-making legacy dates back to Tipu Sultan's era when Persian artisans trained local craftspeople. Today, the toys are celebrated worldwide for their artistic and sustainable appeal. By incorporating Channapatna themes into the metro's design, the Bengaluru Metro Rail Corporation Limited (BMRCL) honors this enduring artisanal tradition.
