Investigations pertaining to the alleged “Pakistan Zindabad” slogans being raised after the victory of Indian National Congress (INC) candidates in the Rajya Sabha election is being investigated by the Karnataka State Government. The video of the incident has been sent to the Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL). Chief Minister Siddaramaiah has promised stern action in case the FSL report validates the allegation. 

An unidentified man is alleged to have raised the slogan. The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has expressed their anger over this incident. Amidst this, the Youth Congress President Mohammad Nalapad has filed a complaint against BJP leaders. Speaking after filing a complaint to the Police Commissioner, Nalapad said, “Provocative statements have been given in order to sow communal disharmony. Even before the truth has come out, false information is being propagated. Action has to be taken against BJP leaders,” he said. 

The complaint names Ramesh Chandrashekar, R.Ashok, Ashwath Narayan and Vijayendra. “Nasir Saab Zindabad has been twisted. There is an attempt to sow communal disharmony. We are all Indians and Kannadigas. A community is being targeted. BJP is disappointed at the loss. This incident is a result of that,” he stated.
