A Non-Resident Indian, Raghavendra Prasad has made public a complaint he has against Virtue Infra Builders Private Limited over alleged non-commitment to return money for a plot that had been registered in Kengeri. “As an NRI based in the United States of America (USA), I've been swindled 30 Lakhs by Virtue Infra Builders Pvt Ltd, JP Nagar. They sold my plot to another party, refusing to refund me. It's been 6 agonising months of running around,” he stated on the microblogging platform X (formerly known as Twitter).

He also provided a timeline of when the events transpired. He stated that Rs 50,000 was paid as an advance sum for booking the plot in the Royal Nisarga Layout. He claims a series of transactions to have been made thereafter amounting to Rs 30 lakh to G. Prasad Reddy the landlord. Raghavendra mentioned that one day prior to the registration the plot was sold to someone else and he was offered an alternative plot. According to him, that land was also registered under someone else’s name. Raghavendra decided to back away from the deal despite persuasion. Raghavendra wrote that despite a promise of return within 2 days, it has not happened in 6 months and 3 cheques to his wife and mother-in-law have bounced in between.

He tagged Bengaluru Police Commissioner B Dayananda in his post, requesting for his intervention. “Seeking your support to rectify this injustice,” the post highlighted.
