In a troubling incident in Sheshadripuram, Bengaluru, a man named Shashikiran, who owns a dog named Maiti, was allegedly attacked by a local resident named Rangappa after the dog barked at him. The incident has led to an FIR being registered at the Sheshadripuram police station.

According to Shashikiran’s complaint, the event occurred near his home when he was about to start his motorbike near his compound gate. Maiti, his dog, was with him at the time. Rangappa was walking on the road in front of the house when Maiti began barking at him. This seemed to anger Rangappa.
Rangappa confronted Shashikiran, questioning why he kept a dog and ordered him to keep the dog inside the house. Following this, Rangappa reportedly began to verbally abuse Shashikiran with offensive language. The confrontation escalated into an attempted physical assault, during which Rangappa allegedly threw bricks at Shashikiran’s gate and tried to attack him.
Shashikiran captured the incident on video, which clearly shows Rangappa’s aggressive behavior. The police have taken cognizance of the matter and registered an FIR against Rangappa under relevant sections..
The Sheshadripuram police have assured a thorough investigation and appropriate action against Rangappa. The community awaits swift justice as such incidents threaten to disturb public harmony.
