The beloved ritual of grabbing a hot plate of biryani at 4AM in Hoskote has come to an abrupt halt, leaving food lovers across Bengaluru shocked. Following a sharp rise in accidents, late-night traffic chaos, and law and order concerns, Bengaluru police have restricted the early morning operation of biryani outlets in the Hoskote area.

Over the past few months, the Hoskote biryani trend had exploded, with people from various corners of the city queuing up outside popular stalls as early as 3AM. Youngsters, including young women, were frequently seen traveling during the wee hours just to relish the now-famous “4AM Biryani.” However, this food frenzy came with a cost.
According to police officials, rash and high-speed driving during these early hours, often by two-wheelers and cars rushing to the eateries led to a noticeable spike in accident cases. Additionally, the crowding at odd hours caused traffic congestion and stretched the already limited police resources, affecting law enforcement in the area.
In response, the authorities have now ordered all biryani outlets in Hoskote to begin operations only after 6AM, effectively banning the 4AM service. Hotel owners in the region have been formally notified of this directive.
While foodies express disappointment, police say the decision was necessary to prevent further accidents and maintain public safety.
