Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) East, D Devaraja, confirmed that the accused, in an intoxicated state, attacked four people with a knife on the night of February 8. The violence reportedly began after a heated argument within his family, escalating into an attack on multiple individuals before he fled the scene.
Authorities revealed that the suspect has a criminal history, including cases of petty theft and other offenses. An FIR has been registered at Indiranagar Police Station, and efforts are underway to apprehend him.
Meanwhile, the injured victims are receiving medical treatment and are out of danger. Police have urged residents to avoid spreading unverified information, emphasizing that misinformation can cause unnecessary fear and panic.
The incident highlights the dangers of social media-fueled rumors and the importance of relying on official sources for accurate information. The police continue their investigation and are working to ensure public safety in the area.
