Bengaluru: Police file 80-page chargesheet in accident case involving Nagbhushan

Male lead of Sandalwood hit “Tagaru Palya”, Nagbhushan is faced with a challenge. A chargesheet has been submitted against him in the court. Sixty witnesses have been examined pertaining to the case. 

This is in relation to a car accident that had occurred near Konanakunte Cross on October 30th. After having collided with pedestrians, Nagbhushan’s SUV crashed onto an electric pole. This resulted in the death of a woman named Prema. Prema died on the spot of the accident. Her husband, Krishna sustained grievous injuries. He was receiving treatment in the hospital for a while. He has now gradually recovered from the injuries. His statement has now been recorded. This development is crucial in the context of the case. 

The chargesheet filed by the Kumaraswamy Police Station is 80 pages long. The statements of the sixty witnesses would be corroborated with the Closed Circuit Television (CCTV) visuals that have been obtained from the spot. 

Earlier, actor Nagbhushan in an interaction with the media had expressed how his father too was a victim of a car accident and that in his case, the perpetrator still remains untraced. He stated that this is what prompted him to not leave the site of the accident and ensure that the victims are taken to the hospital. He expressed his intent to talk to the family members of the deceased but wanted to give them time to heal from the incident.
