The South Division Police in Bengaluru have launched a new safety initiative aimed at protecting homes while residents are away. Under the program, residents can notify the police control room before leaving their homes. To participate, they need to provide essential details such as their home address, a contact number, and a photograph of the locked house. The information is then forwarded to the relevant police station, where officers will be assigned to monitor the property during the homeowner’s absence.

As part of the security protocol, police personnel will conduct regular visits to the property to ensure it remains safe from potential burglaries or other threats. This proactive approach aims to provide peace of mind to residents, knowing their homes will be under the watchful eye of local law enforcement while they are away.

This initiative reflects the South Division Police’s commitment to improving community safety and offering residents an additional layer of protection. It is expected to be particularly beneficial for those leaving their homes unoccupied for short durations, ensuring a safer neighborhood overall.
