Social Media users who drew a connection with Ashwini Puneeth Rajkumar’s presence in the Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) Unbox event which was held on 19th March to their poor performance in this season so far are now faced with an issue. The Bengaluru Police have filed a First Information Report (FIR) in this regard. The Karnataka State Commission for Women took note of the situation and letter was written to the Bengaluru Police Commissioner under its head. 

The President of the Karnataka State Commission for Women Nagalakshmi Choudhary demanded that the person responsible for this be nabbed by the police. She recommended stringent action to be taken against the individual.

The post was made on a Facebook Page named Gajapade. It came under a lot of criticism. The police are on the lookout for the person administering the page. 

The post stated that invitations shouldn’t be extended to women whose husbands have passed away on auspicious events. The page stated that this was the reason RCB has lost 4 out of its 5 games. Ashwini Punneth Rajkumar is the wife of the late Sandalwood actor Puneeth Rajkumar. Puneeth Rajkumar fans were furious over this post. 

Chief Minister Siddaramaiah condemned this post by characterising it as inappropriate and misogynistic.
