An important meeting of the union of private schools in Karnataka named the Registered Unaided Private Schools Management Association (RUPSA) is taking place today (January 12th). The President of RUPSA Lokesh Talikatte will helm the meeting.
Reports have suggested that the meeting might release documents pertaining to corruption from the Department of School Education in the Government of Karnataka. There are allegations that government employees have to pay a bribe in order to secure their salary. In case they fail in doing so, there is an alleged cut in the salary deposited to them. RUPSA will reportedly confront the State Government over this issue.
The President of the Karnataka Unaided Schools Management Association Y H Huchchaya will also be present in the meeting. There will be representation from more than 20 organisations.
The High Court order to fill up vacant spots in private colleges and schools from 2015 will also be discussed in the meeting. Other problems being faced by private schools will also be brought to light. The meeting will take place at the Gandhi Bhavan Sabha. The Meeting will commence at 11 AM.
