In a move to make property registration more accessible, the Karnataka government has announced that sub-registrar offices will now be open on certain holidays and weekends. From June 1, selected offices will remain operational on the second and fourth Saturdays, as well as on Sundays, allowing people to register their properties even on these off days.

This decision aims to help those who find it difficult to visit the offices during regular weekdays due to work or other commitments. Citizens can now register any property within their jurisdiction at these offices without having to wait for regular working days.
The government has also made arrangements to ensure the smooth functioning of these extended hours, including availability of necessary staff and resources. This initiative is expected to reduce the backlog of registrations and make the process more convenient for the public.
Officials have urged property owners to take advantage of this service and avoid last-minute rushes. They also emphasized that all official protocols and documents should be in order when visiting for registration.
