Australia’s national carrier, Qantas, announced on Tuesday its plan to increase flight frequency between Bengaluru and Sydney to meet high demand during the peak holiday season.
From mid-December 2024 to late March 2025, Qantas will enhance its service from five weekly flights to daily, adding more than 12,000 seats between the two cities over this four-month period.

This expanded service complements Qantas’ existing route between Delhi and Melbourne, which operates three times a week. The Bengaluru-Sydney flights will utilize Qantas' Airbus A330 aircraft, equipped with 27 Business Class suites in a 1-2-1 configuration. Each suite offers direct aisle access and converts into a lie-flat bed for maximum comfort.
Passengers on Qantas international flights enjoy comprehensive services, including checked baggage allowance, meals, beverages, and in-flight entertainment, all included with every ticket.
In addition, Qantas has announced an acceleration of its program to introduce 'fast and free' Wi-Fi across its international fleet, including the A330 aircraft. This enhancement will provide passengers with a fast and consistent internet connection, ensuring an improved in-flight experience. The roll-out of this service on flights between India and Australia is set to begin next year.
Qantas' expansion of its Bengaluru-Sydney route reflects the airline's commitment to meeting passenger demand and enhancing travel experiences with advanced amenities and increased flight options.
