New Zealand all rounder Rachin Ravindra became the highest run getter of the tournament after an impressive 34-ball 42 that consisted of three fours and three sixes gave him a momentary edge over South African wicket keeper Quinton De Kock and Indian batsman Virat Kohli. New Zealand are through to the semi finals for all practical purposes with Pakistan requiring a 287-run victory against England to beat them in terms of the Net Run Rate (NRR).
A video has now gone viral wherein Rachin Ravindra met his grandmother in Bengaluru. She even performed a ritual to ward off evil eyes. In the Hindu culture it is a common practice for this ritual to be performed as it is believed that people having ill intent can bring bad luck onto individuals and that this practice would work as a deterrent in that regard.

Ravi is an avid cricket enthusiast. He would conduct annual tours across India as a cricket coach even after having settled in New Zealand.
