Bengaluru has been grappling with intense pre-monsoon showers in recent days, leading to flooding, power outages, and falling trees across the city. Civic officials have come under increasing pressure to take proactive measures to prevent such incidents, especially the pruning and inspection of old and vulnerable trees.
Residents of the area have raised concerns about long-ignored complaints related to tree maintenance. BBMP officials have visited the site, and an inquiry into the incident is currently underway.
