Rajinikanth expressed pride in his early education in a Kannada-medium school, where he consistently topped his class. However, when his elder brother enrolled him in APS, an English-medium school, he struggled to adapt. The language barrier left him in depression, but the empathetic support of his teachers helped him persevere. With their guidance, he passed classes 8 and 9 despite significant difficulties.
The superstar admitted facing another setback during his public exams, where he failed in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics (PCM). Undeterred, his teachers organized special classes to help him catch up. Their efforts bore fruit, and Rajinikanth cleared the exams, though with modest marks.
Rajinikanth also fondly remembered participating in APS’s inter-school drama competitions. Reflecting on a standout performance, he spoke of playing Chandala, questioning Shankaracharya about the body and soul. The performance won his college a prize and earned him the best actor award, a milestone he cherishes to this day.
His reflections underscore the importance of perseverance, teacher support, and formative experiences in overcoming life’s challenges. The actor is away in Bangkok, taking part in a movie shooting.
