The ramp construction for the Bangalore Metro Green Line’s Reach 3C project alongside Tumkur Road has been completed. Steel girders which is 53 metres in length has been constructed with regard to the ramp construction.
The Rs 298.65 crore project had been bagged by Simplex in February 2017. The project was envisioned to be completed in 2 years however there were constraints which had cropped up pertaining to finance and procurement of land from the Nandi Infrastructure Corridor Enterprise. Nagasandra is connected to Madavar via this project. 3 stations including Manjunathnagar, Chikkabidarakallu and Madavar feature along this line.
Whereas Manjunathnagar and Chikkabidarakallu are in advanced stages and the stations are nearly completed, work around the Madavar station is still in nascent stages as the construction began at a much later stage.
The steel girders have bridged 3 spans that lie between the Chikkabidarakallu and Madavar stations. This was required as they lie in an elevation in comparison to the other 85 spans.
