The temperatures recorded at HAL Airport and Kempegowda International Airport were 35.6 C and 35.5 C independently, according to the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD).

“So far, the maximum temperature recorded was 34 C, but now it has crossed over 35 C, making Friday the hottest day of the time. The temperature will remain above 35 C for the coming three to four days”, said CS Patil, scientist and director of IMD, Bengaluru.

The IMD also specified that there would be no cloud formation over Bengaluru over the coming days which signifies prolonged hot and humid conditions in the megacity.

Several sections in Kalyana Karnataka and Kitturu Karnataka are also experiencing violent temperatures, with temperatures rising above 40 C in the belt.

Weather experts have suggested residents take necessary precautions against the heat, to keep them adequately hydrated and limit their exposure to the sunlight during the peak hours.
