In a shocking incident of road rage in Bengaluru, a man's finger was bitten off during a dispute that erupted over rainwater splashing onto a neighboring car. The incident occurred when Jayant and his spouse were traveling from Majestic to Lulu Mall. As they passed through the Okulipuram underpass, rainwater splashed from Jayant's vehicle onto a nearby car, inadvertently causing the other driver to stop.

Despite Jayant apologizing for the incident, the situation escalated when the other car followed Jayant’s vehicle for some distance, from the Okulipuram underpass to the Lulu Mall underpass. The enraged driver then blocked Jayant's car and, along with a couple from the pursuing car, verbally abused and physically assaulted him. The assailant went so far as to bite off Jayant's finger during the altercation.

Jayant, who was traveling in an i20 car with the registration KA02 MT0512, was rushed to a hospital where doctors performed surgery on his severed finger, requiring five stitches. He was advised to rest for six months. The medical expenses amounted to nearly Rs 2 lakh. A case has been registered at the Magadi Road police station, and an FIR has been lodged against the aggressor. Police have begun an investigation into the matter.
