    Kiran stole jewellery worth Rs 3.5 lakh to Rs 4 lakh on that day

    He handed this over to friend Shivu in Konankunte

    Shivu is now being considered as a witness in this case

Kiran, accused in the murder of Senior geologist K.S Prathima has revealed crucial details pertaining to the case. He revealed to the police that he had planned the murder after having a thorough view of the cash and gold ornaments in the house. 

Kiran was interrogated under the supervision of the Inspector of the Thalaghattapura police station Jagadish. The pre-planned nature of the murder was revealed during the interrogation. He snatched the golden bangles and bracelets from her hand later. He stole jewellery worth Rs 3.5 lakh to Rs 4 lakh on that day. Apart from that he got hold of Rs 5 lakh in cash. 

He handed this over to friend Shivu in Konankunte. He told Shivu that this money was owed to him by someone and that he would retrieve the cash after paying a visit to the Male Mahadeshwara hills. Shivu is now being considered as a witness in this case on the back of this development in the case. The cash and the gold have been seized by the police. 

Kiran had initially misled the police by stating that he had visited the residence in order to get his job back and that the murder was a result of provocation by Prathima who had kicked him.
