Darshan was arrested from RR Nagar residence

Youngster sustained injuries on private parts

Darshan was arrested by Kamakshipalya Police officials

Sandalwood actor Darshan Thoogudeepa also referred to as the Challenging Star has been arrested by officials of the Kamakshipalya Police Station. Darshan faces charges of physical assault. 

The police arrested Darshan from his RR Nagar residence. A unit led by the Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) Girish arrived at his residence. Reports suggest that the youngster allegedly assaulted by Darshan is now dead.

He is believed to have grievous injuries on his private parts during the physical assault. He is said to have not responded to the treatment and died.

The youngster is believed to have messaged a woman known to Darshan.  The youngster has been identified as Renukaswamy. The recipient of his message is said to be Sandalwood actress Pavithra Gowda who is speculated to have a very close relationship with Darshan. Darshan is alleged to have messaged the youngster thereafter. This is supposed to have led to the physical assault. Reports indicate that he was kicked on his private parts. A First Information Report (FIR) has been submitted in the Kamakshipalya Police Station. Darshan is currently under Police custody.

There are indications that even as the youngster was reeling from pain upon being assaulted, Darshan did not take adequate steps to ensure that he received medical aid.
