Recently a case had surfaced in Kolar wherein students of a school were forced to clean toilets. Even before this incident faded from public memory, another shameful incident has come to light. NewsFirst has obtained visuals of school children in Bengaluru being forced to clean toilets.
A school in Andrahalli in Yelahanka is where this incident unfolded. The parents of the students were made of the proceedings. They gathered in front of the school to protest against the authorities. They requested the Minister of Education for Karnataka Madhu Bangarappa to take the appropriate action against those responsible for the incident. The teachers were taken aback by this response. The parents left no stone unturned in taking the teachers to task for this abhorrent incident.
The headmistress Lakshmi Devi did not take responsibility for the incident. “I was on leave. This incident took place under the directions of senior teacher Shantamma. I did not have any role in what transpired. A sump needed repair and I had placed an order for a new one,” she stated. Member of Legislative Assembly (MLA) from the Padmanabhanagar representing the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and the Leader of Opposition in Vidhana Soudha R Ashok paid a visit to the spot.
