Following the alerts, Bengaluru City Police deployed multiple teams to the affected schools. Bomb Disposal Squads (BDS) conducted intensive checks at all identified locations to ensure the safety of students, teachers, and staff. Although no explosives were found, the authorities treated the situation with the utmost seriousness.

Police officials confirmed that investigation teams are working to trace the origin of the emails and determine whether the threats were credible or a hoax. Cybercrime and intelligence units are also involved in the probe.

Meanwhile, Karnataka’s Minister for Primary and Secondary Education, Madhu Bangarappa, sparked controversy with his response to the incident. When questioned about the threats, he claimed ignorance, saying, “I have no information about bomb threats to 40 schools across Bengaluru and the threats are a hoax, and I will not comment on it.” He added that law enforcement agencies are looking into it, and they will handle it.
