The inaugural event, organized by the Department of Kannada and Culture, will begin at 5 PM at Vidhana Soudha. A highlight of the evening will be a performance by a 500-member folk dance troupe comprising artists from 50 diverse dance groups across the state. This spectacular curtain-raiser showcases Karnataka’s rich dance heritage.
Adding to the festivities, Chief Minister Siddaramaiah will flag off a half-kilometer-long procession that will pay homage to Kannada culture and heritage. The procession will feature floral palanquins honoring Karnataka’s eight Jnanpith awardees and culminate at MG Road. Celebrations will continue at Metro Rangoli Boulevard with live folk music and dance performances until 10 PM.
This festival is a tribute to Bengaluru’s vibrant cultural diversity. The UnboxingBLR Foundation announced that this year's BLR Hubba will run from November 30 to December 15, featuring free, citizen-oriented programs that can be booked via the official website, blrhubba.in.
Supported by the state government, BLR Hubba aims to transform Bengaluru’s public spaces into cultural hubs, fostering a deeper connection to Karnataka’s heritage.
