Friends of the deceased confirmed Bhoomik’s identity and shared the details with News First. His body is currently at Vydehi Hospital, where family members have now arrived after receiving the devastating news.
Friends who witnessed the chaos outside the stadium described the scene as uncontrollable, with thousands attempting to push through the gates. Bhoomik’s death has left his community in grief, as his life was cut short during a moment that was meant to be celebratory.
