Bengaluru: Student and conductor have a physical fight over bus ticket
Advertisment
  • Student apparently did not buy tickets
  • Bus conductor has sustained grievous injuries
  • Passengers intervene in the fight

The incident occurred outside MS Ramaiah College on a moving bus and has been recorded on camera. The bus conductor Siddapa has been grievously injured in the process. In the video that has now gone viral, the youth can be seen speaking in Hindi. He is heard saying, “Kaun hain. Jaanna hain mere ko?” (Who are you? Do you want to know me?) If the conductor’s version of events are to be believed, the youth responded in this manner on apparently being asked to purchase a ticket. He reportedly did not even reach out for his purse and started assaulting the conductor.

The conductor is heard saying,”sideag haak. Police stationag haaku.” (Take the vehicle to the police station) A bunch of passengers are seen trying to pacify both the aggravated parties. Student- bus conductor conflicts were at its peak in the 1980s but had subsequently resided. The inclinations are however still visible.
