In a shocking incident, a student who had gone house hunting was locked up in the same house and tortured to procure cash. Lit cigarettes were pressed on the individual to cause burns. The act is believed to have been carried out by college students. 

There were 2 gangs in a college. There was rivalry between the gangs and this would often result in violent clashes. A student was looking for apartments on the NoBroker platform while he was followed by 7 people. As soon as he entered the apartment, his hands and legs were tied. The miscreants assaulted the individual later on.

The victim has been identified as Krishna Bajpayee. It is also being alleged that Krishna was stripped naked and recorded on a video camera. The Kodigehalli Police have arrested 7 people in relation to this incident.
