KT Srinivasa Murthy was the Survey Supervisor with the KR Puram Taluk office. Lokayukta associated with the Bengaluru City Police conducted a raid on several properties belonging to him.

He is reported to have had 5 liquor licences. A total of 14 places across Bengaluru and Tumkuru were subject to raids. The unaccounted assets included a 2000 sq feet site in the Hennur Village with estimated worth amounting to Rs 83.45 lakh, a building under construction in the same plot whose estimated worth is Rs 60 lakh and a 1142 sq ft site at the Kothanur village whose estimated worth is Rs 10 lakh. His total assets amount to Rs 4.9 crore.

He had registered a newly constructed house in Lakkenahalli, Nelamangala in the name of his brother-in-law Pandu who had already passed away. He is alleged to have a good relationship with a Member of Legislative Assembly (MLA) from the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). 

Srinivasa Murthy was an avid theatre performer and enthusiast. He performed the role of Sri Krishna in a drama titled “Kurukshetra” in March, 2017.

A police custody of 5 days has been granted with regard to this case on Wednesday.
