Bengaluru: Techie orders from Domino's amidst traffic jam

Bengaluru was hit by an unusually overwhelming traffic jam on 28th September that had extended its way all the way until midnight. This led to harrowing experiences such as kids reaching home as late as 9 pm from school and others reaching office as late as 5 pm. 

Amidst this a story has emerged wherein a techie ordered a Domino’s pizza amidst the traffic jam in order to pander to his hunger. Rishivats, a designer with Flipkart shared this funny anecdote on X. (formerly known as Twitter)

“When we decided to order from Dominos during the Bangalore choke. They were kind enough to track our live location (a few metres away from our random location added in the traffic) and deliver to us in the traffic jam,” he posted. The post received more than 7000 likes, 551,200 impressions and 940 retweets within 2 hours. 

Some users saw the funny side to the story. “Next time I’m booking a massage from Urban Company,” a user commented. 

However others found the act to be distasteful. “Venn diagram circles for product bros and empathy/sensibility never overlap,” a user commented. Many were in praise of the commitment of the delivery agents.
